Sorry, I’ve gotten lazy cause I had a day off.
1. The song “Chariots of Fire” plays at least once a day in Walgreens, I think. It’s really hard for me to resist doing what I’m doing in slow motion when the song comes on…If I’m checking someone out, I can resist, but stocking the shelves is a whole different story.
2. An old man winked at me on his way out. Winks will get me every time.
3. Two men came in looking for “Axe Hair Product.” I now know that we have it, but I couldn’t find it for them when they asked. One of them ended up finding it and he rubbed it in my face that he was better at my job than I was. I laughed and continued putting up reshops (items from behind the counter that people decided at the register they didn’t want). He came to find me a few minutes later and told me not to worry, he was just giving me a hard time. I wasn’t about to lose any sleep over it, but whatever. He continued to tell me that “A girl with glasses like yours must be fun!” I said, “No, not really” (in an attempt to get him to leave so I could keep working). He told me all about how people don’t usually find him funny unless he’s being serious, he moved from Florida 3 months ago and this was his first time in a Walgreens, that he was 29 years old…creepy. Before he left he asked me what my name was and made the usual comments about it. His name was Martin. He shook my hand and said “See you around.” And I thought “I sure hope not!” Martin, it was nice meeting you, but if you come back again I will probably immediately take my break 🙂
