Dear senior self,
Well, this is it, your last hurrah! There will be times you want to quit because your senior research project and prof feel like the bane of your existence. The skills you learn in this class really are as useless as you think they are…but keep on keepin’ on or you won’t graduate. Now there’s motivation for a senior!
Just when you think that boy you’ve fallen for likes your friend, he’ll ask you out. On your first date he will give you his class ring. This will freak out your roommates, but you know better. It feels 100% right to have a man be that serious about dating and that committed early on. I know you’re scared it will take 2 years again to know if he’s the one, but this guy’s different and you’ll know after less than 2 months. Don’t worry, he will eventually say, “I love you” and the long distance part of your relationship will end in marriage ….but I’m getting ahead of myself (where would the fun be if you knew that in the beginning stages of your relationship?).
Beg your parents for money to see a real doctor. You know the nurses on campus are less than helpful, but you have to do something about it! These health issues you’re experiencing now will stick with you for years, like a “friend” you can’t get rid of.
This year is fun. You’ve got this college thing down, you have great friends, and you’re as ready as you’ll ever be to graduate (and not use your degree). Go get ’em! Walgreens needs you! 😝
You older, only-slightly-wiser self
