Today I was in cosmetics, but the person in cosmetics usually has to cover at the front register while that person takes their breaks.
This morning a mom came in with her two daughters and son. The daughters were probably about 9 years old and the son was walking, but wobbly. The first comment out of one of the girls’ mouth was “Wow, this place is trashy.” Well, that’s annoying…I’ve definitely seen worse. Anyways, they were looking at father’s day cards and the little boy was grabbing all the cards at his height. His mom told him “NO!” twice (with enough enthusiasm to stop me and I wasn’t even touching anything). She finally slapped him and he looked up at her like he was really sorry for what he did. No tears, just disappointment. It was precious. Definitely didn’t expect him to be a good kid after the way his sister behaved. Anyways, the best part was that the boy reminded me of this picture:
Anyways, one more unexpected precious moment:
An older man came in and he was being really loud so I expected him to be rude. Turns out he came in to return some perfume because he got the wrong kind. His wife dropped hers and it broke so he wanted to surprise her and go out and buy her a replacement. Apparently he was unaware that there was a male and female version of the perfume. So he was coming back to get the female version. I thought it was cute that he had been married for that long (I assume, he was old anyways) and still wanted to surprise his wife like that.
I was taught again today not to judge people because they’re loud or because their family is annoying 🙂
Does this mean that you arn’t going to judge me anymore?
